Micro-Manager 1.3 and Velleman Boards

If you are running micro manager and need to control a device via TTL or voltage, there is a nice driver written for umanager along with an inexpensive A/D card. The Card I used for a recent project was the Velleman K-8061. I’ve written up a simple how-to on connecting the board to a windows PC and getting umanager to run it.

      Hi Albert,

From checking out the website on the stepper card, the 8005 (this one?) is no longer sold, but if you got one it basically needs an rs drive interface to run it , which I think you have mentioned you own. So the next question is how to control the 8000. The 8000rs says it has 4 analog inputs, which can be used by the 8061, along with it’s outputs, but were it me i’d directly develop using the source code that came on the CD which is included with the 8000. This would be a more direct option and would avoid you having to buy more stuff to get this working.
